Hello, my name is Cory

I've been a travel tech for the corrugated industry for 2 years and counting, but have been in the mechatronics field for over 7 years.

When starting a new job as a technician, of any kind, it can be a little overwhelming when your new boss hands you a list of everything you should have before going out on your first adventure. And many of these items don't come cheap. You may end up burning a hole in your pocket before even earning your first pay check, maybe even financing your new tools!

At the beginning you also may not think of everything right off the bat. My goal here is to provide a plethora of tools that I myself, or some of my colleagues, use on a day-to-day basis. You may have a lot of these exact same tools, or perhaps an even better brand version. 2 years in and I'm still adding to/and changing my tool box. So I hope I will save you some time, and maybe even some money, in providing to you this "cheat sheet" of tools that you can buy and compare with your current collection. 

I have also added some extra quick links to some additional brands/types of tools we use just to give you another quick look of what's out there. Keep in mind that these tools may often be left over night at your place of work, handle by your choice of airline company ,TSA, and perhaps in the hands of the people you work with. In other words, you may not always get them back. This is why I gravitate toward slightly cheaper brands.
